Bachelors of Science for Music: Multi-media Recordings

This guide is designed to provide information and resources for members of the RPI community that are interested in or participating in the Bachelors of Science in Music.

Description

A list of available labs, recordings held by Folsom, and some resources that may be of interest from other entities.

None Library Resources

These resources are not part of RPI Libraries collection and act accordingly. 

Audio Recordings

Audio Recordings are primarily held in the basement level (1st) and 3rd floor of Folsom Library.  Collection includes Vinyl LPs, Cassette tape, VHS Tape, CDs, other tape formats.

CDs

CD recordings are also held on the 3rd floor. Their call numbers start with P and are organized by genre or country of origin.

Vinyl LPs

LPs found on the 1st floor (basement) of Folsom Library.  There is a turntable available in one of the basement study rooms for playback.  Turntable requires the use of head phones.  If head phones are needed a pair maybe borrowed from the Service Desk on the main floor (2nd floor). 

DVDs

Holdings, including DVDs on specific instruments and performances, are held on the Main (2nd) floor of Folsom Library with the majority having call numbers starting after ML 385.
