Architecture Library Guide

Information regarding resources, services and policies found on the Rensselaer Libraries site apply to all users of the Rensselaer Libraries.

This guide is designed to provide location-specific information about the branch library in the Greene building, and services pertinent to users in the School of Architecture.

Printer news!

The Libraries recently brought multifunction copier/printers/scanners into service.

Architecture Library - printer name: gr306mfp

  • full-color printing, scanning, and copying
  • letter and tabloid (no glossy), or save to flashdrive.

Folsom Library (4th Floor) - printer name: li4f2mfp

  • black and white printing and copying, full color scanning
  • letter and tabloid, or save to flashdrive.

Fall 2019 Hours

Fall hours in effect August 29 - December 20, 2019

  • Monday - Thursday  8:30 AM - 9:00 PM
  • Friday  8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Saturday  2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Sunday  3:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Exceptions to fall schedule: 

  • Sunday, October 13  3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Monday, October 14  8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday - Wednesday,  November 26 - 27 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Thursday - Friday,  November 28 - 29  * Closed *

Evening and weekend access to the Greene Building requires a valid RPI ID card issued to current School of Architecture students, faculty and staff.

Our library could not operate without our student workers. If you would like to apply for a job in the Architecture Library, please fill out a form and submit it at the Service Desk.

Resource news

The Libraries were recently able to reinstate the subscription to Material ConneXion, a database of information about materials; their properties, applications, associated processes, and companies/vendors.

Information Literacy Training

The Libraries have access to InfoLit, a series of tutorials and videos designed to develop the user's knowledge and skills in information literacy.

New Books

To recommend materials (books, DVDs, etc) for the Libraries collection, please send an email to Elizabeth Buckley with as much information as possible (title, author, publisher, date of publication, ISBN), or a link to the item on a website, and the suggested item will be considered for purchase.
